History

Graduated with a master in Finance from the University of Amsterdam, Ernst started his professional career in M&A. Over the years he worked on more than 50 transactions. First at the Dutch corporate finance boutique Lindenaar & Co and later at EY M&A. Before moving to Slingshot he also headed the business development and business control activities of a PE-backed e-commerce scale-up. Next to his business career, Ernst lectured a course in Business Economics at Utrecht University.

Ernst takes an analytical approach to problem solving and knows how to work with entrepreneurs; focusing on transforming actionable insights into business value, helping companies to make better decisions, allowing them to grow faster and improve their performance.

Ernst firmly believes that the best decisions are based on hard data and loves helping businesses to become truly data driven. Winning starts by wanting to know everything!

Hobbies:

Snowboarding, indoor soccer, fitness, travelling, cooking and enjoying life in Amsterdam with friends and family
